Joel grew up in north western Ontario and cut his teeth in aviation as a commercial float pilot; flying charter flights to local lakes and remote outpost camps.

Prior to joining Dulude,Taylor Inc., Joel spent nearly 20 years working as a senior IT consultant to many fortune 500 companies including: General Electric, Rockwell, Johnson Controls, Duke Energy, TXU, and many others.  Joel’s first introduction into the insurance industry came in 2000 where he helped design a global policy and claims handling system for Canadian Pacific Ships.

More recently, Joel managed the design and integration of a policy management system at The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company.  During this project, Joel obtained his CAIB designation as an accredited insurance broker.

After many years consulting to the insurance industry, Joel left the IT world to return to his passion of aviation.  With his years of experience in the insurance industry along with his strong knowledge of aviation, Joel is well positioned as an aviation specialty broker for Dulude, Taylor Inc.
